Vijay Eswaran Has Many Life Lessons He Takes With Him

Vijay Eswaran is one of the world’s top direct selling gurus who built a company from scratch based in Hong Kong that now has headquarters and branches reaching across the globe. That company is QI Group Ltd, the parent company to QNET, QI Asset Management and QI University. Eswaran has strived to be a model of success based on generosity and helping others start their own businesses, and he also believes spiritualism has an important place in it. To Eswaran, everyone should view their life as if today could be the last day of it, and as always being just two minutes away from the abyss. To be truly successful, Eswaran says you must look at how what you do will benefit others as much as yourself.

Vijay Eswaran learned about meditative practices from his uncle growing up, and looked up to his father Vijayratnam as a generous man. Eswaran enrolled in the London School of Economics to get a socioeconomic degree, and then later completed an MBA at Southern Illinois University. Eswaran worked for a little while in construction, grape harvesting and cab driving before working as an IT consultant for a few years. He found some multilevel marketing opportunities on the side and then decided to go into it full-time when offered a chance to work with the Conway Group in the Philippines. In 1998, he and Joseph Bismarck officially launched QI Group Ltd. and from there they built it into a billion-dollar company.

Vijay Eswaran takes great pride in what he’s done through RYTHM Foundation, the acronym which means “raise yourself to help mankind.” This foundation gives back to needy Asian communities and especially helps special needs children. Eswaran is also a founding member of QI University-Perak and is currently investing in QI City, a new campus plan that will include completely green energy to power it. Some of the awards Eswaran has won include the New Global Indian award given to him at the 2012 Global Indian Meet summit in New York, and a 2011 recognition in Forbes Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy. Eswaran is also the author of the 2005 bestseller “In The Sphere Of Silence.”
